Who You'll Be Working With
Peter Ian Morgan,
Attorney at Law
I am a former prosecutor now dedicated to helping the accused. I have been a licensed attorney since 1991 and am board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Throughout my legal career, I have served as the County Attorney in Hunt County for eight years, as a private civil and criminal attorney for several years, and several years as a felony prosecutor in the eighth district of Texas including the counties of Hopkins, Franklin, and Delta.
As a defense lawyer, I have had clients found not guilty by a jury of very serious crimes, including murder, sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, and various drug charges. I also had the rare victory of having a client’s 80 year prison sentence overturned by the Dallas Court of Appeals.
Although I was very successful as a felony prosecutor and a civil attorney, I am now dedicated to fighting for the rights of those accused of criminal offenses, whatever the severity of the accusation.
